About Jannine Neale
My artwork depicts my journey through my life here in Cornwall and the images that have inspired me are taken from my own photography. Mostly from walks enjoyed in the countryside or on the beach with my family. I am always looking for a new view, a beautiful sky or striking tree or landscape.
I have a real passion for creating art, I just love to draw and paint.
I studied Art & Design at St.Austell College. Following this I acquired a studio space In Truro where I also had gallery space to exhibit my paintings in Pydar Street, Truro, Cornwall. I am self taught and enjoy finding new techniques and materials to work with.
I have worked on multiple commissions with customers, and really enjoy this process from first photos and initial consultations to the final artwork. I now have a young family and live in Wadebridge where until recently I exhibited my most current work at a local shop in the Main Street, where I met with customers and discussed their commissions. This shop space is very unique in that it houses 20 local small businesses of other skills and talents. Well worth a visit! You can find a link to Winifred and Mabel on my Links page.
I paint with oils, acrylics inks and watercolours, these paintings consist of large trees, landscapes, seascapes, family portraits and other artworks.
Currently I am exploring working with acrylic inks, combining my illustrative work with these.
I am a published illustrator and have worked on design briefs for some wonderful authors.
You can view all of these works of art here on my website or on my Facebook & instagram accounts. Please see the links for these.
I do all my own printing, using a large format Canon Fine art Printer which uses a 12 ink system. I use Canon printing papers and also use local suppliers for all my framing needs. I also use a local fine art printers for large giclee prints.
I have also worked as a stock designer for Chown China Cornwall. Creating beautiful designs for their stunning fine bone China on a range of items.
Thank you for visiting my website and reading a little about my journey.
